Tilted iron box in Bulk - or left on site
There are two options:
- or we switch the boxes: this is a bulk delivery.
- or we leave the boxes: like pallets, but cheaper.
Option 1: bulk tipped box
In this video, you can see two examples of the delivery of bulk tilted iron boxes by our driver Thierry.
This delivery method is mainly used for private customers who do not wish to keep the boxes. In this case, we tip the boxes and then take them back.
Option 2: box left behind (lost box)
We can also leave the boxes on site, as in the video below. Here, our driver Thierry delivers scrap boxes and a 33cm box to a private home.
The lost iron boxes are an alternative to pallets, But iron boxes cost less than pallets.

How many steres in a box?
A 1.20m³ iron box contains :
- In 1m: 1.20 steres
- 50cm: 1.50 steres
- 40cm: 1.60 steres
- 30cm: 1.80 steres
- 25cm: 2.00 steres
How does delivery work?
The driver parks, unhooks his lorry, then takes out the on-board fenwick. He picks up each box with the fenwick and tips it over to you. Then he puts the empty box back in his truck.
This method of delivery takes around 30 minutes per customer, depending on the number of steres ordered. So it takes longer than a big bag.
Which species?
Our products contain a minimum of 95% of hardwood: oak, hornbeam, ash, beech.
Do you need specific essences? Just ask us.
Fenwick dimensions
The fenwick is around 2.2 m wide and 2 m high.
So it needs to be 2.5m wide and 2.3m high to move around easily.
